Taurite Board Game

Taurite™ – a game all about balance. It’s designed to encourage everyone to think about hauora holistically and to ensure that enough thought is being given to wellbeing. No matter what sector you work in or what your background is, wellbeing should always be a priority. From whānau to friends, colleagues to students, ourselves and others. That’s why we have incorporated Sir Mason Durie’s Te Whare Tapa Wha model as a framework and tool for this boardgame, with the addition of Te Taiao – our environment. It gives people an opportunity to visualise and then build a whare of wellness.

Taurite will give you and the other players time to kōrero, reflect on the situation, challenge each other’s thinking, and build awareness of how other people view wellbeing.

The Original pack includes:

• 2 versions – you can choose to play the Community Wellbeing Option or Workplace Wellbeing Option (4 Characters for each option included)
• Whare building blocks
• Character cards
• Situation cards – Whero and Kakariki cards
