We’re proud to announce a new eLearning aimed at preventing and countering violent extremism.
PCVE – Positive Online Interventions is a suite of eLearning modules designed by Explore Wellbeing to reduce the risk of radicalisation by equipping frontline professionals with the tools to engage early, safely, and effectively.
Now available directly from the MySkill shop.
Grounded in international best practice and tailored to Aotearoa’s unique cultural and social landscape, the modules cover:
- Understanding radicalisation
- What Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) is
- Self-awareness and safe engagement
- Early interventions and professional practice
- Resources and referral pathway
- Self-care and sustainability
Initial development was funded by the Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism Fund via the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, with subject matter expertise provided by the Berlin-based Violence Prevention Network.
The training was officially launched at Parliament and opened by Hon Brooke van Velden, Minister of Internal Affairs. The event brought together educators, youth advocates, researchers, frontline professionals, and government partners—united by a shared commitment to protecting our young people from online harm.
