The eLearning and practical sessions meet NZ Resuscitation Council guidelines and ensures employers achieve their WorkSafe obligations and meet the Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard.

The 2-hour practical session teaches and assesses the following lifesaving essentials:

- Loss of consciousness
- CPR
The eLearning on its own can be useful for support staff working with people how have lower risk of accident or injury and where emergency help is easily accessed. This includes office staff based where emergency help via 111 can respond promptly.
