New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) – 70 credits

MySkill takes a micro-credential approach

MySkill splits the NZQA Level 3 into three smaller bundles of learning to make the qualification more achievable for learners.

Learners earn a certificate for each of the first two micro-credentials. Once completed, they can be enrolled in the final stage to achieve the full Level 3 qualification.

This benefits learners and employers

Micro-credentials are a flexibility and achievable option:

  • The full qualification is divided into three achievable parts for learners
  • Learners gain qualifications relevant to their role without needing to complete the entire programme
  • Lower financial commitment for employers (pay-as-you-go, rather than upfront for the full qualification)

How does it work?

Learners will be enrolled in the following sequence:

  1. Initial Micro-credential – Specific to their client group i.e. Certificate in Healthcare -Disability, Aged Care, or Rehabilitation.
  1. Second Micro-credential – Certificate in Healthcare – Support Worker
Available after completing the first micro-credential.
  1. Final Enrolment – Remainder of Level 3 Programme (total 70 credits)
Learners achieve the full qualification by completing the remaining content required for the.

The learner or the employer may pause enrolment into the following micro-credential or into the remainder.

Any easy process and lots of learner support

For NZQA certificate programmes MySkill provides:

  • a simple online training agreement for learners to complete
  • workplace verifications, so you don’t need trained workplace assessors
  • marking and moderation of all learner assessments
  • weekly learner progress reports
  • ongoing learner support and encouragement
